“A Celebration of Hope, Health & Fitness”
Due to adverse weather conditions, the Belfast City Council have to cancel all events taking place at Ormeau Park on Saturday 3rd March and Sunday 4th March. This has therefore meant that the Race To Recovery has had to be postponed to Sunday 11th March.
It is set to be the biggest Race To Recovery and we are excited to see you all there.
Addiction NI’s annual 10K Race and 3K Fun Run is now entering its 6th year and we hope this year will see the continued growth of the event.
The “Race to Recovery” focuses on the positive outcomes for the 1000’s of people embarking on recovery with the support of Addiction NI, family, friends.
We are calling on runners, joggers, children, dog walkers and pram pushers to get involved in either the 10K or 3K event..
The run is ideally placed falling just 9 weeks before the Belfast Marathon and so provides the perfect training opportunity for both runner and walkers.
10K – The 10K route has been certified by Athletics NI. All 10K runners will be provided with a time chip.
3K – The 3K course is available to fun runners, children, families, dog walkers or pram pushers so please come along and join in the fun.
Register for the Race to Recovery 10K or 3K here (Registration is now closed- you can register on the morning of the Race)
Please note new routes for 10K Race & 3K Fun Run/Walk 2018
As of September 2017 the PSNI no longer provide a road closure service for charity running events. In order to ensure the safety of our runners we have re-routed both the 10K race and 3K Fun Run. Both runs will now start within the grounds of Ormeau Park beside the tennis courts, rather than on Ormeau Embankment. Please see attached maps below. The new route will be clearly marked and well marshalled.
